How can I reach Pontedera?
|
|
If you don't want to use the bus from Pisa (locations to be defined) you coul reach Pontedera by car or by train simply.
Pontedera is located between Pisa and Florence.
By car: take free highway FI-PI-LI (exit Pontedera). If you come from the toll highway, exit at Pisa Centro from where you can take the free highway FI-PI-LI.
By train: there are many trains connecting Pisa and Florence. The station in Pontedera is near the Piaggio factory.

What happens if I can’t complete the marathon?
|
|
As during the previous marathons, there will be taxis (Compagnia Tassisti Pisani CoTaPi) along the course in order to take those athletes who decide not to complete the marathon. |

What contains the bag that I get with my bib number?
|
|
It contains a running apparel item. A k-way and a food -bag for the volunteers. |
|

Is there a half marathon?
|
|
The 3rd 'La Pisanina' half marathon in memory of the runner Andrea Mariotti will start in Navacchio (Cascina) at the same time of the marathon start in Pontedera (ore 8,30). The start line is on the marathon course at the half marathon distance. Navacchio can be reached by car taking the free highway FI-PI-LI (exit Navacchio). Anyway we strongly recommend to take the shuttle bus from Pisa (6:30-6:45). Few minutes before the departure of the runners will start the skaters (8.20 am) |

Where should I sleep: in Pisa or in Pontedera?
|
|
It’s your choice. Hotel from 25/30/35/40 euro for person (in twin double room) for l2, 3, 4 e 5 level. Breakfats at 5.45/6.00 am on sunday 19 dec. Available shower near the arrival. Tourist packages with building visit, dinner in tipical tuscan restaurant, Pisa sightseeing and visit at Mirò pictures. Individual visit also. Information at: accoglienza@pisamarathon.it |

How is the medal every finisher gets?
|
|
As all the athletes who run the last 6 PisaMarathons have said, it is one of the most beautiful medal you can get at a marathon finish line. The 2010 medal is the seventh of the series “Beauties of Pisa and its Provincia”. In this one San Giuliano Terme in evidence. |

Can I get my bib number and my marathon bag on the morning of the marathon?
|
|
We strongly recommend to get the bib number and the bag on Saturday (the day before the marathon) at the Expo Marathon (9,00 - 20,00). By this way you can choose the size of the athletic apparel item that you get in the bag and you avoid to waist precious minutes just before the start of the marathon (especially if your entry procedure was not regularly completed).
Anyway you can get your bib number even on Saturday morning (the day of the race) in Pontedera (for the marathon) and in Navacchio (for the half marathon) by paying €5.00 more.

You can get your own PisaMarathon Diploma from the Internet thanks to the ChampionChip timing system (www.sdam.it).

Dal 2003 l'agenzia specializzata nelle foto della PisaMarathon è FotoStudio5 di Cesenatico. Con l'accettazione del regolamento le foto vi verranno inviate a domicilio e potrete trattenerle pagandole attraverso il bolletino che vi verrà allegato o inviarle al mittente senza alcun aggravio di costi. |

Are there modifies at course?

Yes, in Pontedera, Cascina, Calci but the arrival is the same, under the leaning tower. |

Fidal Membership card or medical certificate (for foreigners)
|
|
Athletes who do not have a Fidal Membership card can run the marathon only if they have a Membership Card of their National Athletics Federation. Otherwise they must bring a medical certificate stating that they are fit to run a marathon. |

Posso trasferire la mia iscrizione dalla maratona alla mezzamaratona?
|
|
Non è possibile!!
Pertanto: chi vorrà correre la mezzamaratona al posto della maratona, dovrà iscriversi ex-novo ai 21,097 km della Navacchio-Pisa. In questo modo l'iscrizione alla PisaMarathon2007 (42,195 km) verrà automaticamente trasferita all'anno successivo.
Nessuna variazione sarà possibile così come si conferma la chiusura delle iscrizioni alle ore 24,00 del 6 maggio 2009. |

How much cost the rent of chip?

If you don't have your yellow Champion-Chip you need a chip and pay it 10,00 euro (5,00 for renting and 5,00 for deposit refoundable after the finish line). |
